The Vice President of Sales drives ALTAVI’s sales activities and closing of opportunities. Initially this role will be an individual contributor handling all aspects of sales and working closely with the Managing Partner. The Vice President will identify, guide, and close client opportunities. There are multiple markets, in which ALTAVI competes, and the company may pivot as demand dictates. The ideal candidate must be pliable and will have an influential voice in company direction.

The Vice President of Sales is responsible for the overall productivity and effectiveness of the sales function. Reporting to the Managing Partner, the Vice President of Sales fosters close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the sales organization’s efficient operation and success.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and qualify leads
  • Guide potential clients through their buying-cycle
  • Close opportunities within defined margins in ALTAVI targeted markets
  • Drive and support conferences, exhibition, etc
  • Sell into and leverage channel partnerships
  • Utilize ALTAVI sales and productivity tools such as CRM
  • Actively participate in the generation of company messaging and sales and marketing collateral
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the client
  • Contribute excellence in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Provide market information and participate in defining/refining market targeting
  • Actively participate in company status, planning and strategic planning meetings
  • Work closely with cross-functional internal and external teams and directly with clients to architect technology solutions to meet client needs

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Education: B.S. degree in STEM or Business related studies
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience selling to C-suite, preferably within salesforce development/integration or enterprise software consulting services
  • Documented history of closing consulting deals in the $50k to $750k range
  • Detail-oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies 
  • Extraordinary client facing skills with the ability to solve the clients’ needs and manage scope in a positive way
  • Ability to organize and lead client sessions that result in clear requirements and techno-functional design, even when working with non-technical members of client teams
  • Ability to generate client sign-off and commitment to designs and the solution
