These included communications to ships at sea, into Iraq and Afghanistan during the height of the war, an international video conferencing network and numerous computer networks for fortune 500 companies.

Summary

Bob has started and grown several early stage high-tech companies. He founded and ran AvData Systems, a satellite data communications company built on the shared VSAT hub architecture. AvData was sold ten years after founding for $28M. Later as Senior VP Operations, he led the turnaround of SDN Global. Recently, he has been involved in cloud computing startups focused on infrastructure, virtual desktops and XaaS.

Bob has managed large scale, high tech global deployments and uncountable projects and programs. These included communications to ships at sea, into Iraq and Afghanistan during the height of the war, an international video conferencing network and numerous computer networks for fortune 500 companies. He has integrated large scale systems from multiple suppliers and solved the inevitable finger pointing which can result.

Bob holds degrees from Georgia Tech (BEE), and Stanford University (MEE). He began his career at Bell Laboratories in Holmdel, NJ. There he pioneered system and software development in packet switching, compilers, operating systems, high availability processing, database design and computer generated animation.
